I also intend to add some personal information that has nothing to do with work, but everything with me. Please feel welcome to look around. I am looking for a job in the USA. About me

My name is Olaf Janssens and I was born in Switzerland. My father is dutch and my mother is swiss. I have a dutch nationality. We moved to the Netherlands in 1976 and I went to school there.

After grade school came high school. The Netherlands have a layered system. I did the highest level of high school and then the gymnasium. The gymnasium was followed by law at the university of Rotterdam. I enjoyed the subject, but was not inspired to start a career in law. During my time as a student there were many oportunities to learn about IT. Because of these, it took me longer to finish law school.

I left the university in 1996 with a master's degree, and a lot of experience in It didn't take long to find jobs in IT, working my way up through system administration, software development and consultancy to a level where my academic skills have often proven their added value. Analytical skills, ability to organize information and work in a structured manner prove to be just as valuable in an IT environment.

Short bio

Born in Switzerland. Grew up in the Netherlands. Studied law in Rotterdam, but grew into IT system administration through hobby and work. Worked in many fields of the IT market.
Best skilled in performance optimization of IT business processes using ITIL best practices. Managing organizational change is one of my strongest skills. I have been active in new business development and marketing strategics and campaigning. The intersection of technology and business is where I flurish, building consensus and teaming the two worlds by forming a bridge.
